Ποσειδώνιος δʼ Ἀπαμεὺς ἐν τῇ κʹ καὶ τρίτῃ τῶν ἱστοριῶν Κελτοί, φησί, περιάγονται μεθʼ αὑτῶν καὶ πολεμοῦντες συμβιωτάς, οὓς καλοῦσι παρασίτους. οὗτοι δὲ ἐγκώμια αὐτῶν καὶ πρὸς ἁθρόους λέγουσιν ἀνθρώπους συνεστῶτας καὶ πρὸς ἕκαστον τῶν κατὰ μέρος ἐκείνων ἀκροωμένων. τὰ δὲ ἀκούσματα αὐτῶν εἰσιν οἱ καλούμενοι βάρδοι· ποιηταὶ δὲ οὗτοι τυγχάνουσι μετʼ ᾠδῆς ἐπαίνους λέγοντες. ἐν δὲ τῇ τετάρτῃ καὶ τριακοστῇ αὐτὸς συγγραφεὺς Ἀπολλώνιόν τινα ἀναγράφει παράσιτον γεγονότα Ἀντιόχου τοῦ Γρυποῦ ἐπικαλουμένου τοῦ τῆς Συρίας βασιλέως. Ἀριστόδημος δʼ ἱστορεῖ Βῖθυν τὸν Λυσιμάχου τοῦ βασιλέως παράσιτον, ἐπεὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ ἱμάτιον Λυσίμαχος ἐνέβαλε ξύλινον σκορπίον, ἐκταραχθέντα ἀναπηδῆσαι, εἶτα γνόντα τὸ γεγενημένον κἀγὼ σέ, φησίν, ἐκφοβήσω, βασιλεῦ· δός μοι τάλαντον. ἦν δʼ Λυσίμαχος μικρολογώτατος. Ἀγαθαρχίδης δʼ Κνίδιος ἐν τῇ βʹ καὶ εἰκοστῇ τῶν Εὐρωπιακῶν Ἀριστομάχου τοῦ Ἀργείων τυράννου παράσιτον γενέσθαι φησὶν Ἀνθεμόκριτον τὸν παγκρατιαστήν.

The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.
