περὶ δὲ τῶν ἐπαίκλων Περσαῖος ἐν τῇ Λακωνικῇ πολιτείᾳ οὑτωσὶ γράφει· καὶ εὐθὺς τοὺς μὲν εὐπόρους ζημιοῖ εἰς ἐπάικλα· ταῦτα δέ ἐστιν μετὰ δεῖπνον τραγήματα· τοῖς δʼ ἀπόροις ἐπιτάττει κάλαμον στιβάδα φύλλα δάφνης φέρειν, ὅπως ἔχωσι τὰ ἐπάικλα κάπτειν μετὰ δεῖπνον· γίνεται γὰρ ἄλφιτα ἐλαίῳ ἐρραμένα. τὸ δʼ ὅλον ὥσπερ πολίτευμά τι τοῦτο δὴ συνίσταται μικρόν. καὶ γὰρ ὅντινα δεῖ πρῶτον κατακεῖσθαι δεύτερον ἐπὶ τοῦ σκιμποδίου καθῆσθαι, πάντα τοιαῦτα ποιοῦσιν εἰς ἐπάικλα. τὰ ὅμοια ἱστορεῖ καὶ Διοσκουρίδης. περὶ δὲ τῶν καμματίδων καὶ τῶν καμμάτων Νικοκλῆς οὕτως γράφει· διακούσας δὲ πάντων ἔφορος ἤτοι ἀπέλυσεν κατεδίκασεν. δὲ νικήσας ἐζημίωσεν ἐλαφρῶς ἤτοι κάμμασιν καμματίσιν. ἐστὶ δὲ τὰ μὲν κάμματα ψαιστά, αἱ δὲ καμματίδες αἷς κάπτουσι τὰ ψαιστά.

CTS URN Retriever

The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.

Using CTS URNs, it is possible to export citations of the Deipnosophists down to the word level. By selecting a portion of text holding down the ALT-key, users get a pop-up window with the CTS URN that identifies the selected chunk of text.
