περὶ δὲ τῶν ὀστρακοδέρμων τούτων Δίφιλος μὲν Σίφνιος οὕτω γράφει· τῶν δʼ ὀστρακοδέρμων καρίς, ἀστακός, κάραβος, καρκίνος, λέων τοῦ αὐτοῦ γένους ὄντα διαφέρουσι. μείζων δʼ ἐστὶν λέων τοῦ ἀστακοῦ. οἱ δὲ κάραβοι καὶ γραψαῖοι λέγονται· τῶν καρκίνων δʼ εἰσὶν σαρκωδέστεροι. δὲ καρκίνος βαρὺς καὶ δύσπεπτος. Μνησίθεος δʼ Ἀθηναῖος ἐν τῷ περὶ ἐδεστῶν κάραβοι, φησί, καὶ καρκίνοι καὶ καρῖδες καὶ τὰ ὅμοια δύσπεπτα μὲν πάντα, τῶν δʼ ἄλλων ἰχθύων εὐπεπτότερα πολλῷ. πρέπει δʼ αὐτοῖς ὀπτᾶσθαι μᾶλλον ἕψεσθαι. κουρίδας δὲ τὰς καρῖδας εἴρηκε Σώφρων ἐν γυναικείοις οὕτως· ἴδε καλᾶν κουρίδων, ἴδε καμμάρων, ἴδε φίλα· θᾶσαι μὰν ὡς ἐρυθραί τʼ ἐντὶ καὶ λειοτριχιῶσαι. Ἐπίχαρμος δʼ ἐν Γᾷ καὶ Θαλάσσᾳ· κουρίδες τε φοινίκιαι. ἐν δὲ Λόγῳ καὶ Λογίννᾳ διὰ τοῦ ω εἴρηκεν· ἀφύας τε κωρίδας τε καμπύλας. Σιμωνίδης δέ· θύννοισι τευθίς, κωβιοῖσι κωρίδες.

CTS URN Retriever

The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.
