Νίκανδρος δʼ Κολοφώνιος ἐν βʹ Γλωσσῶν βρένθιν λέγεσθαί φησι παρὰ Κυπρίοις θρίδακα, οὗ Ἄδωνις καταφυγὼν ὑπὸ τοῦ κάπρου διεφθάρη. Ἄμφις τε ἐν Ἰαλέμῳ φησίν· ἐν ταῖς θριδακίναις ταῖς κάκιστʼ ἀπολουμέναις, ἃς εἰ φάγοι τις ἐντὸς ἑξήκοντʼ ἐτῶν, ὁπότε γυναικὸς λαμβάνοι κοινωνίαν, στρέφοιθʼ ὅλην τὴν νύκτʼ ἂν οὐδὲ ἓν πλέον ὧν βούλεται δρῶν, ἀντὶ τῆς ὑπουργίας τῇ χειρὶ τρίβων τὴν ἀναγκαίαν τύχην. καὶ Καλλίμαχος δέ φησιν ὅτι Ἀφροδίτη τὸν Ἄδωνιν ἐν θριδακίνῃ κρύψειεν, ἀλληγορούντων τῶν ποιητῶν ὅτι ἀσθενεῖς εἰσι πρὸς ἀφροδίσια οἱ συνεχῶς χρώμενοι θρίδαξι. καὶ Εὔβουλος δʼ ἐν Ἀστύτοις φησί· μὴ παρατίθει σύ μοι θριδακίνας, γύναι, ἐπὶ τὴν τράπεζαν, σεαυτὴν αἰτιῶ. ἐν τῷ λαχάνῳ τούτῳ γάρ, ὡς λόγος, ποτὲ τὸν Ἄδωνιν ἀποθανόντα προὔθηκεν Κύπρις· ὥστʼ ἐστὶ νεκύων βρῶμα. Κρατῖνος δέ φησι Φάωνος ἐρασθεῖσαν τὴν Ἀφροδίτην ἐν καλαῖς θριδακίναις αὐτὸν ἀποκρύψαι, Μαρσύας δʼ νεώτερος ἐν χλόῃ κριθῶν. Ἱππώνακτα δὲ τετρακίνην τὴν θρίδακα καλεῖν Πάμφιλος ἐν Γλώσσαις φησί, Κλείταρχος δὲ Φρύγας οὕτω καλεῖν. Λύκος δʼ Πυθαγόρειος τὴν ἐκ γενέσεώς φησι θρίδακα πλατύφυλλον τετανὴν ἄκαυλον ὑπὸ μὲν τῶν Πυθαγορείων λέγεσθαι εὐνοῦχον, ὑπὸ δὲ τῶν γυναικῶν ἀστύτιδα· διουρητικοὺς γὰρ παρασκευάζει καὶ ἐκλύτους πρὸς τὰ ἀφροδίσια· ἐστὶ δὲ κρατίστη ἐσθίεσθαι.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.
