δὲ μονοσιτῶν κεῖται παρʼ Ἀλέξιδι· ἐπὰν ἰδιώτην ἄνδρα μονοσιτοῦντʼ ἴδῃς μὴ ποθοῦντʼ ᾠδὰς ποιητὴν καὶ μέλη, τὸν μὲν ἰδιώτην τοῦ βίου τὸν ἥμισυν ἀπολωλεκέναι νόμιζε, τὸν δὲ τῆς τέχνης τὴν ἡμίσειαν· ζῶσι δʼ ἀμφότεροι μόλις. Πλάτων· οὐ μονοσιτῶν ἑκάστοτε ἀλλὰ κἀνίοτε δειπνῶν δὶς τῆς ἡμέρας. ὅτι νωγαλεύματα ἐκάλουν τὰ ἡδέα βρώματα. Ἀραρώς· τὰ κομψὰ μὲν δὴ ταῦτα νωγαλεύματα. Ἄλεξις· Θασίοις οἰναρίοις τῆς ἡμέρας τὸ λοιπὸν ὑποβρέχει μέρος καὶ νωγαλίζει. Ἀντιφάνης· βότρυς, ῥοίας, φοίνικας, ἕτερα νώγαλα. ἀπόσιτον δʼ εἴρηκε Φιλωνίδης, αὐτόσιτον δὲ Κρώβυλος· παράσιτον αὐτόσιτον. ἀναρίστητον δʼ εἴρηκεν Εὔπολις ἀναγκόσιτον δὲ Κράτης καὶ Νικόστρατος δέ· μειράκιον .. κατὰ τύχην ὑποσκαφιόκαρτόν τι κεχλαμυδωμένον κατάγεις ἀναγκόσιτον. ἀριστόδειπνον δʼ εἶπεν Ἄλεξις· ἀφʼ ὧν γένοιτʼ ἂν ἡμῖν σύντομον ἀριστόδειπνον.

CTS URN Retriever

The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.

Using CTS URNs, it is possible to export citations of the Deipnosophists down to the word level. By selecting a portion of text holding down the ALT-key, users get a pop-up window with the CTS URN that identifies the selected chunk of text.
