μνημονεύειν δʼ ἔοικεν ἐπὶ ποσόν τι τῆς κατὰ τὴν λύγον στεφανώσεως καὶ Νικαίνετος ἐποποιὸς ἐν τοῖς Ἐπιγράμμασιν, ποιητὴς ὑπάρχων ἐπιχώριος καὶ τὴν ἐπιχώριον ἱστορίαν ἠγαπηκὼς ἐν πλείοσιν. λέγει δʼ οὕτως· οὐκ ἐθέλω, Φιλόθηρε, κατὰ πτόλιν, ἀλλὰ παρʼ Ἥρῃ δαίνυσθαι ζεφύρου πνεύμασι τερπόμενος. ἀρκεῖ μοι λιτὴ μὲν ὑπὸ πλευροῖσι χαμευνάς, ἐγγύθι πὰρ προμάλου δέμνιον ἐνδαπίης, καὶ λύγος, ἀρχαῖον Καρῶν στέφος. ἀλλὰ φερέσθω οἶνος καὶ Μουσῶν χαρίεσσα λύρη, θυμῆρες πίνοντες ὅπως Διὸς εὐκλέα νύμφην μέλπωμεν, νήσου δεσπότιν ἡμετέρης. ἐν τούτοις γὰρ ἀμφιβόλως εἰρηκὼς Νικαίνετος πότερον στρωμνῆς ἕνεκεν στεφανώσεως ἀρκεῖται τῇ λύγῳ, τῷ δὲ λέγειν αὐτὴν τῶν Καρῶν ἀρχαῖον στέφος πρόδηλον καθίστησι τὸ ζητούμενον. συνέβη δὲ τὴν τῆς λύγου στεφάνωσιν καὶ μέχρι τῶν κατὰ Πολυκράτην χρόνων, ὡς ἄν τις εἰκάσειε, τῇ νήσῳ συνηθεστέραν ὑπάρχειν. γοῦν Ἀνακρέων φησίν· Μεγίστης φιλόφρων δέκα δὴ μῆνες ἐπειδὴ στεφανοῦταί τε λύγῳ καὶ τρύγα πίνει μελιηδέα.

CTS URN Retriever

The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.

Using CTS URNs, it is possible to export citations of the Deipnosophists down to the word level. By selecting a portion of text holding down the ALT-key, users get a pop-up window with the CTS URN that identifies the selected chunk of text.
