ἐγὼ δὲ τοιουτονὶ βρῶμα ὑμῖν, ἄνδρες φίλοι, τὸ μῦμα φέρω. περὶ οὗ Ἀρτεμίδωρος μὲν Ἀριστοφάνειος ἐν Ὀψαρτυτικαῖς Γλώσσαις φησὶν ὅτι σκευάζεται ἐκ κρεῶν καὶ αἵματος, πολλῶν ἀρτυμάτων συνεμβαλλομένων. Ἐπαίνετος δʼ ἐν Ὀψαρτυτικῷ λέγει ταῦτα· μῦμα δὲ παντὸς ἱερείου, καὶ ὄρνιθος δὲ χρὴ ποιεῖν τὰ ἁπαλὰ τῶν κρεῶν μικρὰ συντεμόντα καὶ τὰ σπλάγχνα καὶ τὸ ἔντερον καὶ τὸ αἷμα διαθρύψαντα καὶ ἀρτύσαντα ὄξει, τυρῷ ὀπτῷ, σιλφίῳ, κυμίνῳ, θύμῳ χλωρῷ καὶ ξηρῷ, θύμβρᾳ, κοριάννῳ χλωρῷ τε καὶ ξηρῷ καὶ γητίῳ καὶ κρομμύῳ καθαρῷ πεφωσμένῳ μήκωνι καὶ σταφίδι μέλιτι καὶ ῥόας ὀξείας κόκκοις. εἶναι δέ σοι τὸ αὐτὸ μῦμα καὶ ὄψον.

CTS URN Retriever

The CTS URN retriever is a tool for retrieving and citing paragraphs, passages, and words in the text of the Deipnosophists by typing the corresponding CTS URN. The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.
