ΕΓΧΥΤΩΝ δὲ πλακούντων μνημονεύει Μένανδρος μὲν ἐν Ψευδηρακλεῖ· οὐκ ἔστι κανδύλους ποιεῖν οὐδʼ οἷα σὺ εἴωθας εἰς ταὐτὸν καρυκεύειν, μέλι, σεμίδαλιν, ᾠά· πάντα γὰρ τἀναντία νῦν ἐστιν· μάγειρος γὰρ ἐγχύτους ποιεῖ, πλακοῦντας ὀπτᾷ, χόνδρον ἕψει καὶ φέρει μετὰ τὸ τάριχος, εἶτα θρῖον καὶ βότρυς· δημιουργὸς δʼ ἀντιπαρατεταγμένη κρεᾴδιʼ ὀπτᾷ καὶ κίχλας. Εὐάγγελος δὲ Ἀνακαλυπτομένῃ· τέτταρας .... τραπέζας τῶν γυναικῶν εἶπά σοι, ἓξ δὲ τῶν ἀνδρῶν· τὸ δὲ δεῖπνον ἐντελὲς καὶ μηδὲ ἓν ἐλλιπές. λαμπροὺς γενέσθαι βουλόμεσθα τοὺς γάμους. οὐ παρʼ ἑτέρου δεῖ πυθέσθαι· πάντα δʼ αὐτόπτης ἐρῶ. τῶν μὲν ἐλαῶν ἄφελε πάνθʼ ὅσʼ ἂν βούλῃ γένη. εἰς δὲ τὰ κρέα μόσχον ἔλαβες, δέλφακας, χοίρους, λαγώς· Α. ὡς ἀλαζὼν κατάρατος. Β. θρῖα, τυρόν, ἐγχύτους. Α. παῖ Δρόμων. Β. κάνδυλον ᾠά τʼ, ἀμύλιον .... τὸ πέρας, ὕψος τῆς τραπέζης πήχεων ἔσται τριῶν, ὥστε τὸν δειπνοῦντʼ ἐπαίρειν, ἄν τι βούληται λαβεῖν. ΑΜΗΣ πλακοῦντος γένος. The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.
