ΜΑΝΗΣ ποτηρίου εἶδος. Νίκων Κιθαρῳδῷ· καὶ πάνυ τις εὐκαίρως προπίνω, φησί, σοί, πατριῶτα. μάνην δʼ εἶχε κεραμεοῦν ἁδρόν, χωροῦντα κοτύλας πέντʼ ἴσως. ἐδεξάμην. παρέθετο τὰ ἰαμβεῖα καὶ Δίδυμος καὶ Πάμφιλος. καλεῖται δὲ μάνης καὶ τὸ ἐπὶ τοῦ κοττάβου ἐφεστηκός, ἐφʼ οὗ τὰς λάταγας ἐν παιδιᾷ ἔπεμπον· ὅπερ Σοφοκλῆς ἐν Σαλμωνεῖ χάλκειον ἔφη κάρα, λέγων οὕτως· τάδʼ ἐστὶ κνισμὸς καὶ φιλημάτων ψόφος· τῷ καλλικοτταβοῦντι νικητήρια τίθημι καὶ βαλόντι χάλκειον κάρα. Ἀντιφάνης Ἀφροδίτης Γοναῖς· ἐγὼ ʼπιδείξω καθʼ ἕν· ὃς ἂν τὸν κότταβον ἀφεὶς ἐπὶ τὴν πλάστιγγα ποιήσῃ πεσεῖν Β. πλάστιγγα; ποίαν; τοῦτο τοὐπικείμενον ἄνω τὸ μικρόν, τὸ πινακίσκιον λέγεις; Α. τοῦτʼ ἐστὶ πλάστιγξ οὗτος κρατῶν γίνεται. Β. πῶς δʼ εἴσεταί τις τοῦτʼ; Α. ἐὰν τύχῃ μόνον αὐτῆς, ἐπὶ τὸν μάνην πεσεῖται καὶ ψόφος ἔσται πάνυ πολύς. Β. πρὸς θεῶν, τῷ κοττάβῳ πρόσεστι καὶ Μάνης τις ὥσπερ οἰκέτης; Ἕρμιππος Μοίραις ῥάβδον δʼ ὄψει, φησί, τὴν κοτταβικὴν ἐν τοῖς ἀχύροισι κυλινδομένην, μάνης δʼ οὐδὲν λατάγων ἀίει· τὴν δὲ τάλαιναν πλάστιγγʼ ἂν ἴδοις παρὰ τὸν στροφέα τῆς κηπαίας ἐν τοῖσι κορήμασιν οὖσαν.

CTS URN Retriever

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.
