Φερεκράτης Κοριαννοῖ· ἐκ τοῦ βαλανείου γὰρ δίεφθος ἔρχομαι, ξηρὰν ἔχουσα τὴν φάρυγα. Β. δώσω πιεῖν. Α. γλίσχρον γέ μοὐστὶ τὸ σίαλον νὴ τὼ θεώ. Β. εἰ λάβω κυρισοι τὴν κυλίσκην; Α. μηδαμῶς μικράν γε. κινεῖται γὰρ εὐθύς μοι χολή, ἐξ οὗπερ ἔπιον ἐκ τοιαύτης φάρμακον. εἰς τὴν ἐμὴν νῦν ἔγχεον τὴν μείζονα. ὅτι δὲ μεγάλοις ποτηρίοις αἱ γυναῖκες ἐχρῶντο αὐτὸς εἴρηκε Φερεκράτης ἐν Τυραννίδι διὰ τούτων· εἶτʼ ἐκεραμεύσαντο τοῖς μὲν ἀνδράσιν ποτήρια πλατέα, τοίχους οὐκ ἔχοντʼ, ἀλλʼ αὐτὸ τοὔδαφος μόνον, κοὐχὶ χωροῦντʼ οὐδὲ κόγχην, ἐμφερῆ γευστηρίοις· σφίσι δέ γʼ αὐταῖσιν βαθείας κύλικας ὥσπερ ὁλκάδας οἰναγωγούς, περιφερεῖς, λεπτάς, μέσας, γαστροιίδας, οὐκ ἀβούλως, ἀλλὰ πόρρωθεν κατεσκευασμέναι αὔθʼ ὅπως ἀνεκλογίστως πλεῖστος οἶνος ἐκποθῇ. εἶθʼ ὅταν τὸν οἶνον αὐτὰς αἰτιώμεθʼ ἐκπιεῖν, λοιδοροῦνται κὠμνύουσι μὴ ʼκπιεῖν ἀλλʼ μίαν. δὲ κρείττων μίʼ ἐστὶ χιλίων ποτηρίων.

CTS URN Retriever

The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.

Using CTS URNs, it is possible to export citations of the Deipnosophists down to the word level. By selecting a portion of text holding down the ALT-key, users get a pop-up window with the CTS URN that identifies the selected chunk of text.
