Ἀπολλόδωρος δʼ Γελῷος ἐν Φιλαδέλφοις Ἀποκαρτεροῦντί φησιν· ἐφεξῆς στρώματʼ, ἀργυρώματα, θηρίκλειοι καὶ τορευτὰ πολυτελῆ ποτήρια ἕτερα. Ἀριστοφῶν δʼ ἐν Φιλωνίδῃ· τοιγαροῦν ἐμοὶ μὲν ἀρτίως δεσπότης διʼ ἀρετὴν τῶν θηρικλείων εὐκύκλωτον ἀσπίδα, ὑπεραφρίζουσαν, τρυφῶσαν, ἴσον ἴσῳ κεκραμένην, προσφέρων ἔδωκεν· οἶμαι, χρηστότητος οὕνεκα. εἶτʼ ἐλευθέραν ἀφῆκε βαπτίσας ἐρρωμένως. Θεόφιλος δʼ ἐν Βοιωτίᾳ· τετρακότυλον δὲ κύλικα κεραμέαν τινὰ τῶν θηρικλείων, πῶς δοκεῖς, κεραννύει καλῶς, ἀφρῷ ζέουσαν. οὐδʼ ἂν Αὐτοκλῆς οὕτως μὰ τὴν Γῆν εὐρύθμως τῇ δεξιᾷ ἄρας ἐνώμα. ἐν δὲ Προιτίσι· καὶ κύλικα .... θηρίκλειον εἰσφέρει πλέον κοτύλας χωροῦσαν ἕπτʼ Ἀγαθῆς Τύχης. CTS URN Retriever

The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.

Using CTS URNs, it is possible to export citations of the Deipnosophists down to the word level. By selecting a portion of text holding down the ALT-key, users get a pop-up window with the CTS URN that identifies the selected chunk of text.
