οἷαι δʼ εἰσὶ παρὰ τοῖς Ἕλλησι μεθύουσαι αἱ γυναῖκες παραδίδωσιν Ἀντιφάνης μὲν ἐν τῇ Ἀκοντιζομένῃ οὕτω· γείτων ἐστί τις κάπηλος· οὗτος εὐθὺς ὅταν ἔλθω ποτὲ διψῶσα, μόνος οἶδʼ ὥς γʼ ἐμοὶ κεράννυται. οὔθʼ ὑδαρὲς οὔτʼ ἄκρατον οἶδʼ ἐγώ ποτε πιοῦσα. καὶ ἐν Μύστιδι· γυναῖκες δέ εἰσιν αἱ διαλεγόμεναι· βούλει καὶ σύ, φιλτάτη, πιεῖν; Β. καλῶς ἔχει μοι. Α. τοιγαροῦν ἐμοὶ φέρε. μέχρι γὰρ τριῶν δεῖν φασι τιμᾶν τοὺς θεούς. Ἄλεξις δὲ Ὀρχηστρίδι· γυναιξὶ δʼ ἀρκεῖ πάντʼ, ἐὰν οἶνος παρῇ πίνειν διαρκής. Β. ἀλλὰ μήν, νὴ τὼ θεώ, ἔσται γʼ ὅσον ἂν βουλώμεθʼ, ἔσται καὶ μάλα ἡδύς γʼ, ὀδόντας οὐκ ἔχων, ἤδη σαπρός, λέγων, γέρων γε δαιμονίως. Α. ἀσπάζομαι γραῦν σφίγγα· πρὸς ἐμὲ .... ὡς αἰνίγματα· λέγε καὶ τὰ λοιπά. ἐν δὲ Δὶς πενθοῦντι Ζωπύρας τινὸς μνημονεύων φησί· καὶ Ζωπύρα, οἰνηρὸν ἀγγεῖον. Ἀντιφάνης Βάκχαις· ἐπεὶ δὲ τοῦτʼ οὐκ ἔστι, κακοδαίμων σφόδρα ὅστις γαμεῖ γυναῖκα, πλὴν ἐν τοῖς Σκύθαις· ἐκεῖ μόνον γὰρ οὐδὲ φύετʼ ἄμπελος. Ξέναρχος Πεντάθλῳ· ὅρκον δʼ ἐγὼ γυναικὸς εἰς οἶνον γράφω.

CTS URN Retriever

The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.
