περὶ δὲ τῆς τοῦ ἀνθοσμίου οἴνου σκευασίας Φαινίας Ἐρέσιός φησι τάδε· γλεύκει παραχεῖται παρὰ χοῦς πεντήκοντα εἷς θαλάσσης καὶ γίνεται ἀνθοσμίας. καὶ πάλιν· ἀνθοσμίας γίνεται ἐκ νέων ἀμπέλων ἰσχυρότερος ἐκ παλαιῶν. ἑξῆς τέ φησι· τὰς ὀμφακώδεις συμπατήσαντες ἀπέθεντο καὶ ἀνθοσμίας ἐγένετο. Θεόφραστος δʼ ἐν Θάσῳ φησὶ τὸν ἐν τῷ πρυτανείῳ διδόμενον θαυμαστὸν εἶναι τὴν ἡδονήν· ἠρτυμένος γάρ ἐστιν. ἐμβάλλουσι γὰρ εἰς τὸ κεράμιον σταῖς μέλιτι φυράσαντες, ὥστε τὴν ὀσμὴν ἀπʼ αὐτοῦ, τὴν δὲ γλυκύτητα ἀπὸ τοῦ σταιτὸς λαμβάνειν τὸν οἶνον. καὶ ἑξῆς δέ φησιν· ἐάν τις κεράσῃ σκληρὸν καὶ εὔοσμον μαλακῷ καὶ ἀόσμῳ, καθάπερ τὸν Ἡρακλεώτην καὶ τὸν Ἐρυθραῖον, τοῦ μὲν τὴν μαλακότητα, τοῦ δὲ τὴν εὐοσμίαν παρεχομένου. μυρίνης δὲ οἶνος κεῖται παρὰ Ποσειδίππῳ· διψηρὸς ἄτοπος μυρίνης τίμιος. καὶ Ἑρμῆς δʼ εἶδος πόσεως παρὰ Στράττιδι Χαιρέας δὲ ἐν Βαβυλῶνι οἶνόν φησι γίνεσθαι τὸν καλούμενον νέκταρ. ἦν ἄρʼ ἔπος τόδʼ ἀληθές, τʼ οὐ μόνον ὕδατος αἶσαν, ἀλλά τι καὶ χλεύης οἶνος ἔχειν ἐθέλει. οὐδὲν ἀπόβλητον Διονύσιον, οὐδὲ γίγαρτον, Κεῖός φησι ποιητής

CTS URN Retriever

The Digital Athenaeus is providing the text of the Teubner edition of the Deipnosophists by Georg Kaibel (1887-1890), which is cataloged as perseus-grc2 in the Perseus Catalog.

The syntax of the URNs follows the specification of the CITE Architecture.
